The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq has commended the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for the good works and innovations not only in the  state but in the entire nation.

The Governor expressed williness to continue to partner with the command towards minimising risk of death in road traffic in the state and also promised to work on the request of the Command.

He disclosed this when the Kwara State Sector Commander of FRSC CC Jonathan Adereti Owoade paid a courtesy visit to the State Governor in the quest to broaden and sustain stakeholders engagement.

The Sector Commander applauded the Governor on his developmental stride in the area of road infrastructure, saying it will go a long way in stemming down the tide of road traffic crash.

He further appreciated the Governor and the people of the state for the success of the National Sallah MEGA rally recently held at the Metropolitan square, Ilorin, while commending the huge turnout of stakeholders at the event.

Sector Commander Owoade requested for location of State Ambulance point at Olooru on the Olooru- Bode Saadu - Jebba Highway as well as Idofian on Ilorin- Omu Aran Highway to complement efforts of the Corps at ensuring prompt rescue services to  Crash Victims.

He said the request is imperative in view of rehabilitation that has taken place in these busy highways, while equally appreciating the government efforts towards establishment of fire station within Olooru axis.

He declared the FRSC readiness to continuous collaborate with the State Government in road safety management to ensure the roads are safe at all times.
