Police arrest two suspects while planning to sell Lexus SUV for N1million in Lagos

The Lagos State Police command in its mission to eradicate bad eggs in the society has arrested two suspects for allegedly stealing a Lexus SUV in Festac area of the state



The suspects identified as Nnonyelu kelechuku and Okongi Godspower were arrested on April 29, 2021, at about 9am for being in possession of a stolen car.

In a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Ademuyiwa Adejobi said the suspicious move of the suspect was brought to the notice of the police by some community leaders in Festac when they intended to sell an unregistered Lexus 2004 SUV to one Anas at the rate of one million .The leaders then suspect the car to have been stolen.

The PPRO added, “the DPO and his team in there relentless work tracked them with the car been recovered in the station.

“The suspects confess to stealing the vehicle from some where in Alaba-Rago area of Lagos State.

“Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police , Lagos State CP Hakeem Odumosu ,has commended the effort of the division for a job well done. He further said the robber should be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department , Panti , Yaba for proper investigation and also for possible arrest of other members of the gang ”
