BREAKING: Six Killed, Four Injured in Early Traffic Crash at Ajede Ogbere on Ijebu-Ode-Ore Expressway

Six persons have confirmed dead while four others sustained degree of injuries in early hour road traffic crash at Ajede Ogbere, along Ijebu-Ode-Ore Expressway.

The accident, according to the Public Education Officer of Ogun State Sector Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Superintendent Route Commander Florence Okpe, who confirmed the ugly incident, said it occurred at about 0001hrs (12.01am) this morning.

She said a total number of 39 persons were involved, comprises of 25 male adult and 14  female adult, adding that a total of three vehicles were also involved - a Mazda bus with registration number 
JJJ862 XV;  a Toyota Sienna marked with KRD306BJ and a Mercedes Benz Luxurious bus numbered AGL05XZ.

SRC Okpe said the six dead victims (five male and one female adults) have been deposited at Ijebu-Ode General Hospital mortuary while the four injured persons  (two male and two female adults) were taken to the same Hospital for medical attention.

According to PE Officer, the suspected causes of the multiple  crash were  wrongful overtaken  and excessive speed on the part of the Luxury bus which led to loss of control. He explained that the bus driver quickly disappeared noticing all the occupant of the Sienna vehicle have been killed.

The FRSC Ogun sector Command CC Ahmed Umar, described the crash as avoidable  act and advised the motorists to avoid excessive speed and dangerous driving and also obey traffic rules and regulations.

The Sector Commander commiserated with the families of the victims of the crash and enjoined them to contact the FRSC Command in Ogbere for details of the crash and reclaim the propetries of the victims recovered from the scene of the crash.
