The Leadership of Jama’tu Izalatil Bid’ah wa Ikamatis Sunnah, the Islamic organisation known for eradicating bad norms within the society of Muslim faithfuls and known for establishment of the correct teachings of teachings of (Sunnah) of Islam, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, paid a courtesy visit to Rivers State Sector Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The organization lead by Ustaz Bashir Adam, representing the National Chairman of Ulama Council stated that the it is the directive of the National Leadership that every month of Ramadhan, selected scholars are deployed to various cities and countries for the purpose of conducting Tafsir, reading and translating the Holy Qur'an at various Mosques to Muslims worshippers. It is in that regard they are mandated to visit security agencies and offices as part of collaborative effort to preaching peace among the Nigerian citizens and  partnership. 

He also stated that one of the organization’s mission is to talk about peace and to extend it to all spiritual leaders, Heads of Services and the country at large. 

He mentioned that the organisation has sponsored and deployed 523 scholars to 13 different countries in the world including USA, South Africa, Sudan, Ghana among others for the purpose of this year's month of Ramadhan Tafsir. 

They informed the Sector Commander, CC Salisu Umar Galadunci, that the organisation has uniform volunteer group that ensure orderliness during the group's religious activities like national preaching gathering where they assist in controlling traffic for congregants converging at such venues. 

He, therefore, solicits that the Command do assist in training the Rivers State Chapter for them to gain more knowledge of traffic control when the need arises. 

They concluded by praying for the Sector Commander for his success and peaceful reign, and the entire FRSC for the good work they are doing in saving lives on the highways. 

In his response, the Sector Commander expressed delight for the visit. He said mankind was not created by God for crisis, instead mankind created crisis out of selfishness and greed, saying there wouldn't have been need for any crisis anywhere had it been Nigerians utilise the strength in unity that God endowed the country with. 

The Sector Commander while sighting the example of the FRSC system of employment and posting, said there are staffs from different religious backgrounds and tribes here in Rivers Command, saying they have good working relationship due to love and better understanding.  

Commander Galadunci, therefore, urged the organisation to continue the good work of preaching peace that they are known for, because this could not have come at a better time than now that Nigeria is facing serious challenges. 

He added that extending dispatching  scholars to other countries for Ramadhan Tafsir preach has further proved that a difference is being made, and great improvement is recorded within the organisation, urging them to continue in that right direction of  spreading peace and not to relent so as to be an  exemplary role in society.  

In conclusion, he urged  them to continue to be law abiding and to always caution their disciples towards being good drivers whilst traversing in the land for religious gatherings because only the living can spread the gospel.. He also assured them of collaboration and partnership when necessary.

Also the Command's Special Marshals on same day elected newly executive officers to run the affairs of the second arms of the FRSC in the state.

The newly executive officers include: State Coordinator - Theophilus Igobobo; Deputy State Coordinator - Oluigbo John Ndubuisi; State Secretary - Okojie Ugbesia Prince; Asst State Secretary - Oduanam John Anwana Timothy; Treasurer - Omoregie Iyalekhue Anthony; Financial Secretary - Barrack Anidi Patson Ejeyouwin; PRO - Uriem Christopher Ikechukwu; Welfare Officer - Sonola Joseph Oluwatosin; Provost - Wodi Chuks Tellinson; Auditor - Abraham Udeme Sampson; Ex-officio 1 - Ugbebor John Nwenearizi and Ex-officio 2 - Agboola Oladele Johnson.
